As Christmas approaches, we are excited to share with you our mission to spread the love of Jesus around the globe. This strategic time allows us to reach countries that are typically closed to evangelism, providing wonderful opportunities for Christmas celebrations that open hearts to the message of God's love through the birth of Christ.
In December, we are extending our support to our partners, enabling Christmas outreaches, parties, television programs, and church services that effectively share the love of God. We invite you to join us in this effort we call $5 For 5. Your $5 contribution will provide a gift and a warm meal to an orphan or a widow in one of the 5 countries we are assisting this year.
Here's a glimpse of what Christmas will look like in each of the five countries:
Nepal
From Paul and Bhwana:
Reaching over 800 children with the gospel, food, warm hats and blankets in various locations, including streets, slums, and remote villages. We will also celebrate with teachers and volunteers, exchange gifts with remote village pastors, and host a Christmas party for precious orphan children.
Kenya
From Peter:
Planning a three-day children's conference with over 600 attendees, providing meals and Christmas gifts. Children’s ministry, a cornerstone in their Kitale church, has played a key role in leading pastors and planting churches this year.
Myanmar
From Rebecca, Elizabeth, and Rosemary:
Holding large gatherings at their network of Children’s Homes, reaching thousands with the Good News of Jesus. Orphans and widows will receive Christmas gifts and meals, and teams will visit villages to provide food and share hope with the gospel.
Cuba
From Manuel:
Celebrating Christmas with outreaches to large groups of children, providing gifts, meals, and the story of Christ’s birth. Teams will also visit their network of churches that meet in neighborhoods all over Cuba to share the hope of the Good News.
Andaman Islands
From Raja and Sheeba:
The annual Mobile Outreach—decorating a flatbed truck as a stage to share a Christmas message, with a goal to reach 100,000 people. Praying for hundreds to receive Jesus, hosting gatherings for 2,500 children, and conducting 11 widows outreaches to share the love of Jesus, a gift, and a meal with over 900 women.
Your prayers and support make a significant difference in bringing joy and hope to those in need. If you would like to give to the 2023 Christmas Project, simply write “Christmas” in the memo of the donation or to give online at www.goingglobalinc.org/give
Thank you for being a vital part of our Christmas mission to make a positive impact around the globe. Wishing you a blessed and joyous Christmas season!
Christmas Thoughts from Dennis and Robin
We enjoy all the Christmas songs that we hear this time of the year. They are uplifting and refreshing. They bring joy, thought, and good warm feelings. But one stands out since we minister in different regions of the world with the orphans, widows, and pastors in remote areas. It is the song, “Do you see what I see?”
Think about it for a moment. Do you see what God sees? All the suffering, the hungry people, the hopelessness in the lives of orphans and widows?
Do you hear what He hears? The crying babies aborted without thought, the old people in nursing homes without visitors, and those suffering from sickness and disease without proper care. And those suffering from wars and violence. We cannot solve all the problems of the world but we can pray, we can give, we can speak, we can go this holiday season and be the voice of Christ that encourages another person.
Merry Christmas,
Dennis and Robin
Christmas Outreach
Elijah leads a Widow’s Home and local church in Myanmar. Above is a picture of their Christmas service last year, where 700 people from the village attended. The Love Network will host services like this at the children’s home campuses and with all the church plants. Elijah is in process of building a new church to sustain the growth. We plan to help complete it with financial support. Here is a picture of the church.
Food For Thought
“Let me tell you what real surrender is. It is simply resting in the love of God, as a little baby rests in its mother’s arms. A perfect surrender must even be willing to quit surrendering, if that is what God wants! Surrender consists, not in doing great, heroic deeds about which one can brag, but simply in accepting whatever God sends, and not seeking to change it. Surrender is the source of true peace; if we aren’t at peace, it is because our surrender is not complete.” —By Fenelon
