We are blessed to work alongside Sukhen and Puspa, who lead Generation Bangladesh. Their nation has had a very difficult time over the past three months with protests and riots, where there have been deaths and a lot of destruction by arson. The conflict has been particularly challenging for the minorities being Hindu and Christian. By God’s grace, all the ministries of Generation Bangladesh have been safe.
Here are some encouraging updates from our Bangladesh partners:
Children and Youth Leader Training
Generation Bangladesh does training for Children and Youth Leaders for churches all over their nation. They come to the ministry center in Dhaka, where they are equipped, encouraged, and develop relationships that will help them be successful in ministry at their local church. Over the past six months, they have conducted three trainings for hundreds of leaders. The local churches will be strengthened because of this effort.
Gift Box Distribution and Evangelism
By partnering with Operation Christmas Child, 50,400 gift boxes have been distributed through Generation Bangladesh. Each child receives a box with gifts, evangelism materials, and given the good news of Jesus Christ with a relevant gospel presentation. Our partner is responsible for receiving the boxes, storing them, even guarding them from theft, distribution, and evangelism moments.
Family Homes for Orphans
Sukhen and Puspa care for orphans in Bangladesh through family homes. Here the children receive a good education, food, health care, clothing, and shelter. The children are not left as orphans, but find a loving home, where they are given a future and a hope. Most importantly, the children are learning about Jesus and growing with Him.
Anti Trafficking Team
During the last six months, the Anti Trafficking Team has rescued 360 girls from the sex industry of India. This team is on the frontlines of helping women avoid this dangerous and hopeless life, and oftentimes pulling women out of the trap they find themselves in. Please pray for this team and the women they serve.
Correspondence Discipleship Program
This year 6,083 children have gone through a discipleship process with Generation Bangladesh. Sukhen and his team serve local churches throughout Bangladesh with this program. Every single one of the these children have given their lives to Christ! Come on, that is a reason to give God praise!
Here is a quick message from Sukhen and Puspa, to say thanks to each of you:
“Praise God again for all the wonderful works which God helped us to do during the last six months! The financial support, which we are getting from Going Global, is actually helping us to do all the ministry here in Bangladesh. Without that, it is not possible to keep up all the Good Works for God's people and for His Kingdom. Thank you again, Going Global, and thank you all.”
May God bless you,
Sukhen and Puspa
Update from Israel
Below is an update from Pastor Mazen at Jerusalem Alliance Church in Israel:
Two successful summer camps for 100 orphans from Gaza!
Allow us to share with you the highlight of the ministry this month – two summer camps for Gazan children who are orphans and have resided in Bethlehem since December. This is a true miracle that the 100 precious children were allowed to leave the Gaza Strip earlier last year through international intervention. Two busses made their way out to the Rafah and Egyptian border, and then through the Sinai desert, back to Eilat in Israel, and then a long drive to Bethlehem. This very long and tiring journey guaranteed that 100 orphans arrived to the Christian town of Bethlehem where they escaped the terrible situation in the Gaza Strip.
When news came out that the orphans arrived in Bethlehem, Muslim families rushed to deliver aid, food, clothes, and furniture to their modest apartments. While month after month passed, the children were forgotten, and not many people reached out to help.
Upon their arrival to Bethlehem, these children encountered a cultural and religious shock. Bethlehem is mainly Christian, and crosses and Christian figures are seen everywhere. Sadly, with all the war trauma these orphans witnessed, they reacted in a very negative way toward any Christian place they entered, even spitting on crosses. During the past few months, they were banned to enter several children’s facilities in the city.
Despite all of this, we still decided to resume our summer camp and work directly with these 100 children who attended our two-week summer camp in Bet Sahour. More than 20 young volunteer believers made sure to make this an unforgettable encounter! We were very determined to spend two weeks with them teaching them about the many important values of Christianity, doing simple trauma healing workshops, and had fun with sports.
A few days into the camp, the leaders who are Muslims, said that they have never witnessed this much love and care for the children. These precious orphans wanted to come back eagerly every day because they felt something different happening here.
We were able to reach their hearts and bring them a new perspective of our faith and love in Jesus. Accordingly, the leaders asked us to do more programs and activities in months to come.

We serve God, the Master who has a divine order. We may be going through difficulties in our lives and in our world, but we can be confident that God is working it out for good.
